Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all vehicles purchased from Buy My 1st Car trading as Mens Motors Limited, whose registered office is at 51 Radlett Road, Frogmore, St Albans, AL2 2JX. By viewing, reserving or purchasing a vehicle from us, you agree to be bound by these terms in full.

We are a credit broker and not a lender. Finance is subject to status and affordability. We may introduce you to a carefully selected panel of lenders and may receive a commission for introducing you to them.

Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of vehicle descriptions, specifications, photographs and pricing shown on this website. However, due to the nature of used vehicles, there may be minor discrepancies, and vehicles are sold subject to availability.

Mileage, equipment and specifications are correct at the time of listing but may be subject to change. We recommend that you inspect and test drive any vehicle prior to purchase to satisfy yourself as to its condition and suitability.

A vehicle is considered reserved only once a deposit has been received and acknowledged in writing by Buy My 1st Car. Until such time, the vehicle remains available for sale and may be sold to another party.

All advertised prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Any additional fees, road tax, or optional extras will be clearly itemised on your invoice at the point of sale.

Deposits are non-refundable except where Buy My 1st Car is unable to fulfil the sale of the reserved vehicle, or where a finance application is declined through no fault of the purchaser.

Should you wish to cancel a reservation, please notify us in writing at the earliest opportunity. Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 14 working days.

Hire purchase, personal contract purchase and conditional sale agreements are available subject to status, age and affordability. You will be provided with full written quotations and a copy of the pre-contract information before signing any finance agreement.

You have a 14-day right of withdrawal on regulated finance agreements, in accordance with the Consumer Credit Act 1974. Early settlement of your agreement may be subject to additional fees as detailed in your finance documentation.

We are happy to accept part exchanges. All valuations are subject to a physical inspection of your vehicle. Online or indicative valuations are provided as a guide only and may be revised upon inspection.

Any settlement of outstanding finance on a part-exchanged vehicle will be confirmed in writing before completion of the transaction.

Vehicles are sold in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Unless otherwise stated in writing, all vehicles are sold with a minimum of 3 months' or 3,000 miles' mechanical warranty (whichever occurs first) covering major mechanical components.

Extended warranties may be available at an additional cost. Warranty terms, exclusions and claim procedures are detailed in the warranty booklet supplied at the point of sale.

If you believe a vehicle is not of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose or as described, please contact us immediately. We will investigate any complaint in accordance with our obligations under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Short-term rejection rights are available where a fault was present at the time of sale. Claims must be made at the earliest opportunity and within the statutory period. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Personal information collected through enquiry forms, finance applications or at the point of sale is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

We will only use your information to process your enquiry, arrange finance, and contact you regarding your purchase. We will not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes without your consent. Please see our Privacy Policy for further details.

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
